Golf Grips Maintenance Tips to Enhance Life Span

The fundamental form of grip maintenance is keeping the grip clean. It’s a must that you keep your grips clean for its longevity. Besides a dirty grip will tone down your performance by a lot.

It’s only natural that the golf grips will wear out over time. The only way to push the grip to its limit is by cleaning it regularly and hence removing all those dirt and oils.

Here are everything and every step for you to follow to get yourself a clean grip. 

Grip Cleaning Wipes

A very convenient method of cleaning grips is by using grip cleaning wipes. You’ll find these in packages carrying quite a few of these.

Here’s how you’re gonna do this

Step 1: Take a wipe out of the package

Step 2: Reseal the package for further use.

Step 3: Now use the wipe to wipe down your grip and clean your grips.

That’s it.

With Warm Water and Soap

Everything that you’ll need.

1 Bucket of warm water

2 Mild detergent

3 Soft Pad or brush for cord or rubber grips and washcloth for soft grips.

7 For clean water supply…… a sink or a hose

Step 1: Check if there’s any fault in the grip like bubbles or any torn off parts. Cleaning won’t do any good for these issues. So, you’ll have get a new one.

Step 2: Mix the detergent you have bought in the bucket of warm water. Choosing the best golf grip solvent or detergent is an important task. You must buy it carefully.

Step 3: Dip the brush/pad/washcloth and scrub the grip

Step 4: Rinse the pad or washcloth along with the grip using clean water.

Step 5: Rinse the grip one more time.

Step 6: Now use a dry towel to dry off the grip. You can even be using air-blower to get this done.

Conclusion

If you don’t do proper maintenance of your grips and don’t clean your golf grips regularly, you’ll only be using less than 45% of its life span.
